We had been looking for a builder to do a Primary bedroom and bathroom addition on our cottage in Harrison MI. We talked to many contractors and either got ghosted or their estimate was ridiculous. James Burrell met with us and we explained what we wanted done. He gave us a reasonable estimate and we accepted his offer. Details of our project was to remove an inside wall, build an addition for a primary bedroom and bath, remove old carpet and tile from everywhere. Install new carpet in three bedrooms, new tile in the main room, kitchen, hall, laundry room and two bathrooms with heated floors. Much of the subfloor had to be removed, leveled and supported with new joist, plywood and cement board. A split unit was also installed, everything that needed painting was completed and the entire roof was stripped and shingled. James and his crew were easy to work with and had no problems with change notifications during the project. Burrell Builders was recommended to us by a local wood worker to install a fireplace mantel on a stone wall. The live edge mantel looks beautiful and we were very happy with his work so we asked for a quote on our roof and chimney repair.
